​Our History

The Sydney Antique Machinery Club was formed to bring together collectors, restorers and admirers of vintage machinery. Over the years, the club has grown into a vibrant community that celebrates Australia’s mechanical past through displays, events, workshops and our flagship annual event — the Clarendon Classic Rally.
Our members come from all walks of life, united by a shared appreciation for the craftsmanship, engineering and history behind antique machinery. Whether it’s a stationary engine, a vintage tractor, a steam exhibit or a rare mechanical oddity, we believe every piece of machinery has a story worth preserving.

Meet the Members

Our members include collectors, restorers, engineers, farmers, hobbyists and families who enjoy working with and learning about antique machinery. Some members own large collections, while others simply enjoy attending events or helping with club activities.
No experience is required — just an interest in old machinery and a willingness to get involved.
